Texture - load timeout to too tight?
Reported by lindsay.kay (at xeolabs) | April 17th, 2010 @ 03:48 AM
Process management default timeout is 30 secs - might be too hasty considering that image load processes are dispatched quicker than they are reaped.
Solution: process manager not to to timeout image loads, and rely on browser Image object to notify it on load failure (which includes timeout).
IDE Log for courtyard house example:
SceneJS.texture image load failed: http://www.scenejs.org/library/v0.7/assets/examples/courtyard-house...
scene0: Loading asset from http://www.scenejs.org/library/v0.7/assets/examples/courtyard-house...
scene0: Creating shader: '_scenejs-default-canvas;t;;dirsddirsd;;tf'
scene0: Creating shader: '_scenejs-default-canvas;t;;dirsddirsd;/uv/baseColor/add;tf'
Process timed out after 30 seconds: Texture image load: http://www.scenejs.org/library/v0.7/assets/examples/courtyard-house...

SceneJS provides easy access to WebGL through a simple and declarative JavaScript API. The SceneJS API is functional, which enables its scene definitions to be really compact and expressive, while hooking into other JavaScript code just that little bit more smoothly.
