Ability to configure timeouts for SceneJS.Load<xxx>s

Reported by lindsay.kay (at xeolabs) | May 13th, 2010 @ 01:16 AM | in V0.7.5

To ensure that SceneJS.Load nodes don't wait forever for responses that never arrive, there is a timeout of 180 seconds after which they will enter their SceneJS.ERROR state in which they are then permanently inactive.

Add the ability to tweak this value if required:

  • add optional loadTimeoutSecs config to SceneJS.Load
  • add optional fallback loadTimeoutSecs property to SceneJS.Scene

Both fall back to to the default of 180 seconds.

SceneJS provides easy access to WebGL through a simple and declarative JavaScript API. The SceneJS API is functional, which enables its scene definitions to be really compact and expressive, while hooking into other JavaScript code just that little bit more smoothly.
