SceneJS.loadCollada not parsing positions/uv's as floats

Reported by lindsay.kay (at xeolabs) | April 19th, 2010 @ 09:42 AM | in V0.7.3

COLLADA parsing seems to have been falling back on some kind of JavaScript implicit string->float conversion while parsing positions, UV coordinates and indices.

Symptoms: when attempting to create bounding volumes around geometry, ie. something like this:

xmin = -999999; for (var i = 0; i < positions.length - 2; i+=3) {

{mkd-extraction-d5a07919af0198908f40140c0809e279}

}

ymin never makes it below zero even though positions have negative y-coordinates!

Solution is to use parseFloat to convert all coords and indices.

SceneJS provides easy access to WebGL through a simple and declarative JavaScript API. The SceneJS API is functional, which enables its scene definitions to be really compact and expressive, while hooking into other JavaScript code just that little bit more smoothly.
