"Garbage" status for orphan nodes

Reported by lindsay.kay (at xeolabs) | August 7th, 2010 @ 10:45 AM

When a child node has been removed from a parent, store it on a "ophan" map until it has been attached to another parent. If a scene traversal is done while the node is on the map, then any GPU resources bound to it are released, it's ID value is made available for re-use and it's ID property is nulled.

The node can be attached to a parent later if required, in which case it gets a new ID.

SceneJS provides easy access to WebGL through a simple and declarative JavaScript API. The SceneJS API is functional, which enables its scene definitions to be really compact and expressive, while hooking into other JavaScript code just that little bit more smoothly.
