Help on setting for creating new Collada files.
Reported by Theo | June 21st, 2010 @ 03:55 AM
Hello Lindsay
I would like to be able to create new Collada files for use inside SceneJS.
A typical way of doing this is to export data from Blender.
The issue is that there are many settings in the exporter plugin in Blender 2.49 - the current stable release. And there are even two versions of the plugin.
I am wondering if you could kindly have a look at Blender and see what the settings should be in order to have a happy import to SceneJS. This could save a great deal of trial and error by your users.
The suggested settings could be added to the release notes.

Sure thing Theo, I'll be looking at both Blender and Sketchpad, with a view to defining a supported export features matrix for those.
Smooth Collada support has actually getting high priority for the next few releases.
cheers,

SceneJS provides easy access to WebGL through a simple and declarative JavaScript API. The SceneJS API is functional, which enables its scene definitions to be really compact and expressive, while hooking into other JavaScript code just that little bit more smoothly.
